A Tribute To My Hero ... ~ SOURAV~

you just got a duck in your last inning...
you will never wear that blue helmet...
you will not bring tears in our eyes anymore...
my love for cricket will never be the same without you...

Dada!!!

month of june,1996,Lord's! you made the bangali's all over the world believe -- yes, we can play the gentleman's game too!
... that was the start dada... rest is history!

we have witnessed the greatest story of Indian cricket, story of a leader, of a fighter!
we danced when you scored! we cried when you failed! we made your success our own, that's why your failures gave us so much pain!
we have learned how to fight, how to lead -- not only in sports, in our lives too!
... a moment without you??? we can't imagine! you reside in our blood, mind, soul!

'unpredictable' - this word suits you the most -- bowling changes, strategies, taking off your own shirt at Lord's -- no one could guess your next step! you decision of quitting was no different -- that's you!!!~

you are our inspiration, dada! your determination, focus, fight & struggles teach us new lessons! we never break down in our failures! we admire how your bat did the talking, not your mouth! carry on in life with friends & enemies -- you are an example!!!~

life will never be the same! thank you for those 11,363 & 7,127 runs you scored, the matches you have won for us! thank you for the immense pleasure you have given, which is a hundred times more!!!~

... you provide me strength & willingness, you are my Idol!!!~

The first time I saw saurav ganguly was when I was in class3.He had come as the chief guest to our sports day.I and saurav were both in Britto house of St.Xavier's Collegiate School, Park Street and sported the colour red. We both have similarities, namely, a receding hairline, spects, and oodles of aggression. But perhaps what sets him apart was his fighting spirit, to never say die and keep fighting amidst the hostile of circumstances. Hats off saurav dada, I will always remember and emulate you. So let the royal bengal tiger roar, coz sachme yeh dil mange much much more...YO
